Payments for courier and delivery

The recipient pays from their own phone, with a QR code at the door or a payment link before the delivery, instead of cash.

At the door, cash means carrying change, counting in a hurry and handing in money at the end of the route. With Findos Pay the recipient pays from their own phone: the courier shows a QR code for the delivery, or the recipient receives a payment link before the parcel arrives. The confirmation comes from the payment provider.

The problem with cash at the door

  • The courier has to carry change and count money at every stop.
  • A recipient without cash at home means a delay or a second visit.
  • Cash collected on the route has to be handed in and reconciled at the end of the day.

Two ways to pay

  • QR at the door. The courier shows a QR code for the specific delivery; the recipient scans it, checks the amount and approves on the spot.
  • Payment link before the delivery. The recipient receives a link by SMS, email or message and pays before the courier arrives.

How it works

  1. The delivery has an amount to collect.
  2. The recipient opens the payment from the QR code at the door or from the link they received.
  3. They check the amount and the business, choose an available method and approve in their bank or payment-provider environment.
  4. The confirmation comes from the payment provider and the delivery is completed.

Where it fits

  • Courier companies and local delivery networks.
  • Shops and e-shops with their own delivery.
  • Restaurants and stores that deliver to the customer.

Payment providers

Findos Pay provides the technology and the payment journey. Payment acceptance, regulated processing and settlement are provided by the selected licensed payment provider, under its terms and merchant approval.

Questions

Does the courier need a card terminal?

No. The courier shows a QR code or the recipient pays by link; the payment happens on the recipient’s phone.

Can the recipient pay before the delivery?

Yes. With a payment link the recipient can pay as soon as they receive it, before the courier arrives.

Does the customer need an app?

No. The journey opens as a secure web page on the customer’s phone and, where supported, continues into their existing bank or payment-provider environment.
