Which phones can use SmartTouch™ NFC?
Most current smartphones read NFC. Where NFC is not available or is switched off, the customer scans the QR code on the same point and continues in the same journey.
Does the customer need a special app to scan?
No. The camera of a current smartphone reads the QR code and opens the payment page.
Can we start with QR and add NFC later?
Yes. The touchpoints share the same payment journey and the same merchant view, so SmartTouch™ points can be added next to existing QR codes and payment links.
Can a payment link be used for a deposit?
Yes. The link carries the amount you set, for example the deposit of a booking, and the reference that identifies it.
Does the guest need to install an app to order?
No. The QR code opens the menu as a web page on the guest’s phone.
Do card details pass through our website?
Where the payment provider offers a hosted payment page, payment details are entered there, not on your website. The exact scope depends on the provider and the integration.
Can it connect to our existing systems?
Integration patterns are designed for merchant systems, online checkout, hospitality platforms and operational reporting. The final scope depends on the payment provider and on your architecture.
